I Promise!

I Promise!

Promises are at the heart of any loving relationship. When promises are kept, they illustrate how much we care, and how dedicated we are to that relationship. When promises are broken, they can lead to disappointment, mistrust, and some of the most painful moments of our lives.

.
The truth is, we have all broken (and continue to break) the promises we make to each other.  Our spouses, children, family members, or friends hurt us - intentionally or unintentionally. This is just a harsh and honest reality!
.
However, we serve a God who ALWAYS keeps His promises! Even when we don’t keep our promises to Him, His promises never fail. In fact, most of scripture is the story of how faithful God was in the midst of Israel’s unfaithfulness.
.
Since God’s plans never fail, and His love never ceases, remembering and rehearsing God’s faithfulness and His promises is vitally important for every believer. Reciting and writing them is not for God’s benefit, but for ours. God hasn’t forgotten what He said, and we don’t need to remind Him. But we do need to remind ourselves! We are the ones who tend to forget!
.
Rest assured that God has opened to us the fullness of His promises and blessings in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:20) We can receive every promise God has made because they are fulfilled in Christ. That’s good news whichever way you slice it!
.
The Promise Desk® is here to help and encourage you to claim God’s promises every single day! So, whether you are using one of our products to plan your day, or journal about your day, may you rest in the knowledge that God is with you (Hebrews 13: 5) and that His plans and promises will far exceed anything you could ever hope, think, or imagine (Ephesians 3:20)!
.
